AstraZeneca Vaccine - Side Effects in the Month Post Vaccination

Honestly, this post will be short and sharp.

I had very little symptoms in the month after my vaccine. The week after, I was maybe a little extra tired, and my arm continued to ache for about the same amount of time. Within two weeks, you could no longer tell I'd had the vaccine at all, and I felt fully back to myself.

And, I also fell pregnant within the two weeks post AstraZeneca vaccination, so I can say that it didn't have any negative effect on my fertility, at least in regards to initially falling pregnant, ovulation and implantation. I'm now coming up to 6 weeks, and have yet to have an Ultrasound confirming anything, but my blood levels are fine and all seems well.

I know I can hardly make a connection, as I'm the only one I know to have this possible coincidence occur, but I wonder if there is the potential for a positive impact on fertility from the vaccine? There are way too many factors that could have contributed in my falling pregnant. However, it is interesting that after a year of trying to conceive, it was right after the AstraZeneca vaccine that I finally succeeded.

I had no sign of blood clots and am now clear of the one month post vaccination... Except at just about exactly a month after my shot, I had a severe chest pain that made it difficult to inhale. But I've had this many times in my past (it's lead me to the ER before, in fact), and it's never really been diagnosed as anything beyond 'musculoskeletal'. And sure enough, after a few hours it faded and I'm still here, healthy and bloated (thanks, pregnancy).

I will get my second booster in September, when I am about 10 weeks pregnant. I will try and update again, to let everyone know how the second dose's side effects differed for me, and if I noticed anything possibly linked between the booster and pregnancy.

And maybe my story will encourage more of you to roll up for WA! The Pfizer is now available for pregnant women in Australia!
