Tricks and Wives Tales for Determining Baby Gender

Shettles method:

Male sperm swim faster but female sperm don’t live as long. Based of this theory, we are having a GIRL because I wasn’t even with my partner when I ovulated… the accident occurred 4 days prior.

Distaff Gospels idea:

If you walk with your right foot first, prepare for a boy. If you step off your left foot, you’re looking at a baby girl. Looks like a BOY for me with this one.

Morning Sickness theory:

Sick in the first three months? You’re having a girl. If you get pain after the first trimester, a boy. I’m still in the first two months, and though the morning sickness hasn’t really set in (was bad for a few days, then faded off), my pain is rather horrid, and I’ve lost kilos due to a lack of appetite. GIRL so far? We’ll have to wait and see for this one.

How are you carrying:

Carrying baby low? Boy. High? Girl. I’m not even showing yet, and probably won’t be for a long time yet.

The Baking Soda Test:

Pee in a cup filled with a little baking soda (seems gross, but most of us pee on a stick constantly anyway). If it fizzes, you’re having a boy. If it doesn’t fizz, a girl. I don’t have any baking soda though.

Acne:

Well if acne means a GIRL, then that’s what I’m having! I’ve been getting a few pimples a day for a while now.

Mayan numbers:

Take the mothers age at conception and add it to the year of conception. If you get an even number, you’re having a girl. An odd means a boy. I’m 20, and conceived in 2018, so looks like a GIRL for me.

Cravings:

Craving salty foods whilst pregnant, and you’ve got yourself a boy. Sweet foods and you’ve got yourself a girl. I’m not sure what I am. I crave corn jacks, which are salty I think, and apple crumble with icecream, which is sweeter. A soup I had premade and frozen used to be disgustingly salty and now tastes a little nicer to me. But right now I’m craving weetbix with a bucketload of sugar on top. I’m torn on this one.
